3rd Mori Jazz by MARUWA 2026: Free Jazz Festival at Moricoro Park, Aichi

The 3rd Mori Jazz by MARUWA

Outdoor Jazz Festival with 4,000 Visitors Last Year to be Held Again This Autumn! Aichi Prefecture’s Moricoro Park Will Be Dyed in Jazz

The 3rd Mori Jazz by MARUWA, a music festival specially sponsored by MARUWA Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Owari-Asahi City, Aichi Prefecture), will be held on Sunday, November 22, 2026, at the Expo 2005 Aichi, Japan Park (Moricoro Park) in Nagakute City, Aichi Prefecture.

Mori Jazz by MARUWA is an outdoor jazz festival built around the concept of “Nature x Music x Region,” offering free performances by top-tier artists in a nature-rich setting. The event started in 2024 and has gained increasing recognition among local residents each year, with approximately 4,000 people attending last year. The 2026 edition marks the third time the festival will take over the Great Lawn Square Outdoor Stage at Moricoro Park—the park that served as the venue for Expo 2005 and now functions as a spacious public recreation area.

This year’s performers consist of six groups:

  • H ZETTRIO — top domestic jazz musicians active both domestically and internationally
  • Yukko Miller BAND
  • Yusaku Kiyama — whose song “home” became a huge hit and led to an appearance on the Kohaku Uta Gassen
  • Waka Moriya Quartet — active in the jazz scene nationwide, centering on the Tokai region
  • Taro Sukegawa & Yuji Mochizuki DUO
  • Amane Trio

With jazz at its core, the festival deepens collaboration between diverse artists and the region. Alongside the music, a variety of kitchen cars will offer gourmet food, making the event an “inspiring stage” that can be enjoyed by people across generations, from children to adults, amid the autumn atmosphere of the park.

Moricoro Park is the nickname commonly used for Aichi Prefectural Forest Park, a large public park in Aichi Prefecture, Japan. The park occupies gently wooded hills and includes open lawns, forest trails, ponds, picnic areas, and spacious recreation grounds. It is a regular destination for families, walkers, and outdoor event organizers, with room for anything from a short walk to a large gathering.

The name combines mori (“forest”) with a shortened form of kokoro (“heart”), giving the park a simple, nature-oriented identity. That identity carries over to events such as Mori Jazz, which uses the park’s lawns and trees as an open-air venue. Visitors sit on blankets or simple chairs while listening to live music in casual surroundings.
