“K-Game IPs” refers to intellectual properties created by Korean game developers: original characters, settings, storylines, and franchises. An IP is what makes a game distinct, and it can extend beyond the game itself into merchandise, webtoons, animation, and other media. Well-known examples include Lineage, MapleStory, Dungeon & Fighter, and PUBG: Battlegrounds.
At the Busan festival, K-Game IPs are presented through booths, exhibitions, and interactive experiences. The aim is to show the range of Korean game development and give visitors a way to engage with the fictional worlds these games have built—either ones they already know or ones they have not encountered yet.
