The 2026 Ansan Science Valley (ASV) Science Festival is a citizen-participation science culture festival where visitors can encounter future science and technology—AI, robots, and more—in one place. As Ansan City’s brand festival, it brings together ASV-related agencies, universities, research institutes, companies, foundations, and organizations to offer direct opportunities to see and experience a wide range of future science and technology. This year, in celebration of the 40th anniversary of Ansan City’s promotion to city status, special programs will be prepared to highlight the region’s scientific and technological development and its future vision.
The festival is composed of exhibition and experience programs themed around high-tech fields such as AI and robots, as well as the environment and carbon neutrality. It also includes creative convergence education, science culture performances, and citizen-participation events. Through programs that cross science, humanities, culture, and art, the festival is designed to let everyone—from children to adults—engage with science in an accessible and enjoyable way.

Ansan Science Valley is a science and technology complex in Ansan, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. It houses research institutes, startup companies, and educational programs. The valley runs public events throughout the year, including exhibitions and festivals. Its main annual event, the ASV Science Festival, offers demonstrations, open labs, and workshops for families, students, and general visitors. These activities are intended to show how research in fields such as artificial intelligence, robotics, and data science is conducted, and to give visitors a chance to test related tools and methods themselves. The festival is one of the few times the facility opens its labs to the public. Outside the festival, the site functions as a workplace for the organizations based there, with shared equipment, meeting rooms, and support staff.
