The Chungnam Content Korea Lab is offering a unique opportunity to hone your skills and learn from a professional webtoon artist – completely free of charge!

Learn the Art of Webtoon Creation

This comprehensive 24-hour workshop will guide you through every step of the webtoon creation process, from initial concept to polished final product. Under the expert guidance of professional artist Ttogak, you’ll gain practical skills and receive invaluable feedback to transform your webtoon aspirations into reality.

Here’s what you’ll experience:

  • Expert Instruction: Learn from Ttogak (또각), the talented artist behind the Naver Webtoon series "Another Love" (2021-2023) and the currently running "Black Mermaid" (2024-present).
  • Practical Curriculum: Master essential skills including:
    • Setting up a professional digital workspace
    • Building an efficient workflow
    • Storyboarding techniques, drawing inspiration from Chungcheongnam-do
    • Line art, coloring, and drawing techniques for webtoons
    • Utilizing lighting effects, post-processing, and text
    • Creating backgrounds with SketchUp
    • Receiving personalized feedback and mentorship
  • Complete Project: Develop a full-fledged first episode of your own webtoon (50 panels) ready to share with the world.

Who Should Apply?

This program is tailored for aspiring webtoon creators residing in Chungcheongnam-do or those who are students or graduates of universities within the province.

"Run! Happiness," a solo exhibition by artist Chuang Ming-Chi, invites viewers on a captivating exploration of the intricate relationship between the physical body and the conscious mind. Using the act of running as a central motif, Chuang delves into the concept of "A General Theory of the Body," presenting a compelling narrative through his diverse artworks.

Divided into four distinct yet interconnected sections, the exhibition guides visitors through Chuang’s artistic vision:

  • Run! Happiness: This section embodies the continuous, fluid nature of running, symbolizing the potential of physical exertion to shape and influence our consciousness.
  • Windows of the Soul: Through a series of captivating works, Chuang contemplates the profound connection between our eyes, the "windows to our soul," and the physical body they inhabit.
  • Marathon: Drawing parallels between the endurance of a marathon runner and life’s journey, this section presents the diverse perspectives gained through the body’s enduring engagement with society, prompting reflection on both individual and collective levels.
