The Seoul Light Hangang Bitseom Festival is set to illuminate the iconic Han River and Yeouido Hangang Park, breathing vibrant life into these beloved spaces for ten unforgettable days. This grand riverside festival, the largest of its kind in Seoul, seamlessly blends cutting-edge laser art with engaging opportunities for citizen participation. Built around the theme of "Bitseom 3L," the festival promises a diverse array of experiences, including the exhilarating Light Run, captivating Laser Art installations, and insightful Bitseom Lectures.
Experience the Magic of Light and Technology:
1. Light Run:
On October 12th, join fellow participants in a visually stunning 5km run around Yeouido Hangang Park. Runners will be equipped with light T-shirts and light sticks, creating a mesmerizing spectacle as they illuminate the night.
2. Laser Art Exhibition:
Witness the breathtaking fusion of nature, art, and technology as lasers transform Yeouido Hangang Park into a wonderland of light and media art. These captivating installations will be on display throughout the festival from 7:00 PM to 10:30 PM.
3. Bitseom Lecture:
Engage with a dynamic series of PechaKucha live lectures delivered by renowned artists, industry experts, and company CEOs. These thought-provoking sessions offer unique perspectives on the intersection of art, technology, and urban spaces.
Beyond the Core Programs:
In addition to the "Bitseom 3L" highlights, the festival offers a rich tapestry of performances and concerts, ensuring there’s something to captivate every visitor.
A Vision for the Future:
The city envisions the Bitseom Festival as an annual celebration, evolving into a signature art event for Seoul. Future iterations will rotate among the three riverside areas (Nanji, Yeoui, and Seonyudo) and three islands (Nodeul, Seorae, and Ttukseom), ensuring that the magic of the festival reaches every corner of the city.
