The Busan International Performing Arts Festival (BIPAF) returns this September, transforming the scenic Oncheoncheon Stream in Geumjeong-gu, Busan, into a vibrant hub of international street art. Under the theme "Together, Moving Forward," the 2024 festival explores the power of art to connect people from diverse backgrounds and propel us towards a shared future. BIPAF emphasizes not only unity but also progress, recognizing that while the world may sometimes feel divided, art transcends boundaries, reminding us of our interconnectedness.
This year’s festival promises a captivating program featuring 17 exceptional street art performances from nine countries across Europe, South America, and Asia. Audiences can enjoy a diverse range of genres, including circus acts, dynamic performances, and captivating musical theatre, all set against the beautiful backdrop of Oncheoncheon Stream and Busan National University Street.
