The Saenggeojincheon Culture Festival is Jincheon-gun’s largest annual celebration, showcasing the region’s rich local culture and heritage. This vibrant festival offers a diverse range of cultural and artistic experiences for residents and visitors alike, enhancing the quality of life and fostering a sense of community harmony.

Festival Highlights:

October 4th (Friday): Festival Day 1

• Immerse yourself in traditional Korean culture with Folk Art Performances, Folk Games, and a thrilling Ssireum (Korean wrestling) Contest.
• Cheer on participants in the Silverzzang! Literacy Golden Bell competition.
• Witness the spectacular HAPPY Parade, a vibrant procession celebrating the spirit of Jincheon.
• Enjoy captivating performances by the Children’s Choir and the Woosuk University Taekwondo & Art Troupe.
• The day culminates with the grand Opening Ceremony, followed by a dazzling Fireworks display and a special Congratulatory Performance.

October 5th (Saturday): Festival Day 2

• Test your knowledge of local history with the Our Town’s History Story Golden Bell quiz.
• Be mesmerized by the elegance of the Fan Dance & Kim Pyeong-ho Style Namdo Sogo Dance.
• Appreciate the talents of local residents at the Lifelong Learning Club Presentation and the Resident Autonomy Program Contest.
• Witness the energy and passion of young dancers and singers at the National Youth Dance & Song Contest.
• Enjoy a beautiful performance by the Student Orchestra.
• Sing along to your favorite K-Pop hits at the Let’s Sing Together ‘K-POP’ event.

• Take a nostalgic trip down memory lane with the 7080 Folk Song Legend Concert.

October 6th (Sunday): Festival Day 3

• Start your day with the invigorating Citizens’ Walking Festival.
• Witness the dynamic Traditional Taekkyeon Team Special Performance, showcasing this unique Korean martial art.
• Enjoy a diverse range of performances at the Culture & Arts People’s Concert.
• Be captivated by the Hong Ji-min Musical Gala Show, accompanied by the Jincheon County Symphony Orchestra.
• Experience the vibrant energy of traditional Korean performances, including Pungmul (Korean percussion music), Tightrope Walking, and Lion Dance.
• The festival concludes with the Citizens’ Song Festival and the Closing Ceremony.
