The Muju Firefly Festival is a celebration of ecology, featuring a diverse program of cultural events, environmental activities, artistic performances, and educational opportunities.
During the festival, visitors can:
- Embark on a magical firefly exploration tour, riding shuttle buses to prime firefly habitats.
- Discover the wonders of the Bandi Nuri Pavilion, an indoor exhibit where live fireflies can be observed year-round.
- Participate in the Namdaecheon Life Plus program, releasing fish into the Namdaecheon River and learning about the importance of ecological preservation.
- Enjoy traditional cultural performances, such as the Joseon Dynasty Royal Records Parade and the Muju Anseong Nakhwa Nori (fireworks display).
