“Tachikawa Oktoberfest 2026” will be held at the Showa Kinen National Government Park (Hana-Midori Culture Center Yume Hiroba). Showa Kinen National Government Park is a public park in western Tokyo, covering about 180 hectares in Tachikawa and Akishima. It opened in 1983 to mark the 50th anniversary of Emperor Showa’s reign. The park includes open lawns, a Japanese garden, cycling paths, sports fields, barbecue areas, and forested walking trails. Seasonal plantings draw visitors throughout the year, including cherry blossoms and tulips in spring and colored leaves in autumn. A terraced fountain called the Water Plaza is a common place for families and photographers to gather.
The park is also used for large events. Tachikawa Oktoberfest is held on its festival grounds, where visitors can buy German beer and food.
