A Row of 300 Cherry Trees and Festive Delights

The Fuchu Citizen Cherry Blossom Festival offers a delightful experience for all attendees, centered around the stunning display of approximately 300 cherry trees. This event distinguishes itself through a combination of traditional festivities and unique attractions, all set against the backdrop of Fuchu City’s vibrant community spirit.

The core of the festival takes place on March 22nd (Saturday) and 23rd (Sunday), 2025, from 10:00 to 16:00. During this time, Fuchu Park and Kotobuki-cho Central Park will be transformed into bustling hubs of activity. Visitors can expect a variety of food stalls offering local delicacies, alongside exhibitions and public relations displays by the police and fire departments. The entertainment lineup includes stage performances, bouncy houses, a mini SL train, and a treasure hunt, ensuring a fun-filled experience for visitors of all ages. The mini SL and bouncy house will require a modest fee of 50 yen per ride.

Adding to the charm, Sakura Street and Fuchu Park Street will be pedestrianized from 11:00 to 16:00, allowing for a leisurely stroll amidst the aforementioned 300 cherry trees. A folk dance parade will grace Sakura Street on the 22nd, while a general parade is scheduled for the 23rd ♪.

Evening Illuminations

The festivities extend beyond daylight hours with a special light-up event taking place from March 14th (Friday) to March 23rd (Sunday), 2025. Between 18:00 and 21:00, lanterns and bonbori (paper lanterns) will cast a warm glow on Sakura Street and Fuchu Park Street, creating a magical atmosphere for viewing the cherry blossoms at night.
