From March 15th to March 23rd, 2025, GREEN SPRINGS in Tachikawa City will host "FOOD CIRCUS," a nine-day event celebrating global cuisine and music. Visitors can experience a diverse range of culinary delights and musical performances, all within the unique atmosphere of a circus-inspired setting. The event promises a dynamic and ever-changing selection of food and drink, ensuring a fresh experience for every visitor.
The Tentipi Experience: Dining Under the Big Top
Central to the FOOD CIRCUS is the Tentipi tent, a large structure inspired by traditional Swedish dwellings. This unique space offers a relaxed environment where visitors can enjoy meals and drinks. A bar counter inside the tent serves beer and wine, providing an opportunity to unwind and savor the atmosphere, which is quite unlike a typical dining experience.
A Carousel of Kitchen Cars: Culinary Variety on Wheels
The event features a rotating selection of kitchen cars, each offering a distinct menu of international dishes. From savory beef and hamburger options to sweet treats and cafe items, the variety caters to a wide range of tastes. A diverse selection of drinks will also be available, complementing the culinary offerings. The daily and weekly rotation of vendors ensures a constantly evolving menu throughout the event’s duration.
Street Piano and Guest Performances: A Symphony of Sounds
Adding to the festive atmosphere, a street piano decorated with floral paintings will be available for anyone to play. This interactive element encourages spontaneous musical expression and participation. In addition to the open piano sessions, scheduled live performances by guest artists will take place on March 15th and 23rd, with three 30-minute sets at 1:00 PM, 3:00 PM, and 5:00 PM. The street piano will be available on March 15th-16th, March 20th, and March 22nd-23rd.
