For a limited time, fans of the iconic rabbit can visit a special Miffy theme cafe designed to offer a serene escape. The event is centered around the concept of “hokahoka”—a Japanese term evoking warmth and coziness—providing visitors with a healing environment and a menu specifically crafted to combat the winter chill.

The experience is characterized by its attention to detail, where food is not merely a meal but a visual extension of Dick Bruna’s art. Guests can enjoy a diverse lineup of dishes, ranging from a savory gratin pie designed to mirror Miffy’s face to a luxurious hamburger steak paired with vegetable-rich beef stew. For those with a sweet tooth, the cafe offers visually striking desserts, including a square-glass parfait with a detailed cross-section and pancakes inspired by Miffy.

Exclusive Benefits and Incentives

Visitors can secure their experience through an advance reservation system. For a fee of 660 yen (tax incl.) per person, reservation holders who order from the menu will receive a “Multi-case.” It is worth noting that a new design for this benefit will be introduced starting Tuesday, December 22, marking the beginning of the event’s late period.

Beyond the reservation perks, the cafe offers a menu order bonus for those spending 2,500 yen (tax incl.) or more. Eligible guests will receive one “Clear Card,” although these are available only while supplies last and purchases of souvenirs do not count toward the spending threshold.

What is Miffy?

Miffy is a rabbit character created by Dutch artist Dick Bruna. She first appeared in a picture book in 1955. Miffy’s look is deliberately minimal: two dot eyes, an X-shaped mouth, and clean, simple lines. Bruna avoided excess detail, and the books use flat colors and short sentences.
