The 31st Hongseong Namdanghang Jumbo Shrimp Festival is Hongseong’s representative autumn food festival. Held at Namdanghang Port, a gourmet tourism destination on the west coast, the festival centers on the seasonal jumbo shrimp found in the clean waters of Cheonsuman Bay. Visitors can eat plump shrimp and other fresh seafood from the bay, watch performances, join hands-on programs, and take in the sea views around the port in one trip.
The 2026 festival will be held from September 4 to November 8 in the Namdanghang Port area. Opening performances are scheduled for September 4 to 6, with additional Chuseok performances on September 25 and 26. The lineup for those performances includes Bin Ye-seo, Park Hyun-bin, Jang Do-hyun, Yoo Do-hyun, Kim Jung-ah, and Kim Seo-yeon.
Namdanghang Port sits within Cheonsuman Bay and is known for its seafood, including gizzard shad in addition to jumbo shrimp. During the festival period, visitors can enjoy fresh seafood and local dishes while watching the sunset over the West Sea. Namdanghang is a working harbor on the west coast of South Chungcheong Province, in Hongseong County.
