Yesan Apple Festival
🗓️ 2026.10.30 ~ 2026.10.31
The 23rd Yesan Apple Festival will be held at Yedang Lake, using the Yedang Lake Suspension Bridge—which boasts the largest scale in the country—as this year’s venue. The festival combines apple experience programs for people of all ages with the magnificent view of the bridge and lake. By choosing a well-known local tourism resource as the setting, the festival aims to promote Yesan apples and local landmarks at the same time. Starting from the symbolic Yedang Lake Observatory, the event will also connect with tourism facilities around the Yedang Lake area.
This year’s theme, “A Sweet Day at Yedang Lake,” brings together apple wine, apple desserts, and a musical collaboration spanning jazz, traditional Korean music, and classical music. Through these experiences, the festival seeks to introduce visitors to the taste and quality of Yesan apples.
The Yesan Apple Sale Festa is a key part of the program. It is an apple sale outlet participated in by Yesan apple orchards and operated by the Yedang Apple Horticultural Agricultural Cooperative. The sale runs for only two days during the festival period, making it a representative program where high-quality Yesan apples are available at affordable prices.

What is Yedang Lake?
Yedang Lake is a reservoir in Yesan County, South Chungcheong Province, South Korea. It was built to support local agriculture and now doubles as a public recreation area. The lake sits among low hills and apple orchards, with a walking path that follows much of the shoreline. Benches, shaded lawns, and a few observation decks offer places to pause and take in the view.
The lake also serves as a venue for community events, including the annual Yesan Apple Festival. The open land along the waterfront accommodates vendor stalls, performances, and evening fireworks. During the rest of the year, the same grounds are used for more subdued activities: walking, fishing, or sitting by the water. The lake’s value lies less in any particular scenic feature than in its proximity and versatility — it is a large, accessible open space that works as well for a weekday stroll as for a large festival.
