Korea Grand Festival
ποΈ 2026.10.29 ~ 2026.11.15
The Korea Grand Festival is the first national-scale consumption festival to integrate the consumption promotion policies that were previously scattered across various ministries, including discount events, gift certificates, and coupons. Instead of tracking separate campaigns, visitors can now access them through one coordinated program. The participating initiatives are the Korea Sale Festa (Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy), Accommodation Sale Festa (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism), Donghaeng Festival (Ministry of SMEs and Startups), Agricultural and Livestock Products Discount Event (Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs), Fishery Products Discount Event (Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries), Post Office Shopping Promotion (Ministry of Science and ICT), and Korea Duty Free Festa (Korea Customs Service).
Government ministries, local governments, the retail industry, traditional markets, SMEs, and small business owners all take part, bringing discounts, consumption benefits, travel, and cultural content to locations across the country. For visitors, that means shopping, food, traditional markets, local tourism, and travel can be found in one place, and the festival doubles as an opportunity to experience distinctive regional content while on a special trip.
1. Main Programs
The festival’s core offerings consist of special sales exhibitions for small business products, Donghaeng product exhibition halls, and policy promotion halls. These exhibitions give small businesses and regional vendors a prominent sales channel, while showing visitors the policy support structures behind the discounts they are receiving.
2. Side Programs
The side programs include live commerce, consumer events, and consumer experience zones. These add an interactive layer to the festival, allowing participation both from home and on site.
3. Opening Ceremony Win-Win Concert
- Date/Location: October 31 (Sat), 17:40~19:30, outdoor special stage behind Andong Station, Jungang Line 1942
- Method: On-site distribution of concert entrance tickets and 20,000 won Andong Love Gift Certificates upon verification of Interpark ticket purchase
The festival’s opening ceremony takes the form of the Win-Win Concert. Attendance is coordinated through Interpark: after verifying a purchased ticket on site, staff distribute the concert entrance ticket along with a 20,000 won Andong Love Gift Certificate. The certificate adds practical value to the visit, giving attendees extra spending power in Andong beyond the concert itself.
4. Opening Event Operating Hours
October 31 (Sat), 11:00 ~ 19:30 *Opening Ceremony 17:00
The opening event runs from 11:00 in the morning until 19:30 in the evening. The opening ceremony begins at 17:00, followed by the Win-Win Concert at 17:40.

Andong is a city in North Gyeongsang Province, South Korea, best known for its concentration of traditional culture. Its most prominent site is Hahoe Folk Village, a UNESCO World Heritage listing that preserves Joseon-era architecture and the layout of a Confucian lineage village. The surrounding area retains customs such as mask dance rituals, which have been performed in the region for centuries.
The city is also associated with two distinctive foods: Andong soju, a clear distilled liquor with a mild finish, and Andong jjimdak, a braised chicken dish cooked with vegetables and glass noodles. The Andong Mask Dance Festival takes place annually and features performances by Korean and international troupes, with a strong emphasis on satire and storytelling.
These cultural assets make Andong a fitting setting for the Korea Grand Festival 2026, which pairs a traditional travel destination with retail promotions and discounts nationwide.
