Encounter Legendary Pokémon: Legend Research in Nihonbashi & Yaesu
From September 9 through November 29, 2026, the Nihonbashi and Yaesu districts of Tokyo will host “Legend Research: Meet Legendary Pokémon in Nihonbashi & Yaesu,” an urban-scale Pokémon event spanning multiple buildings, plazas, and streets in the area. With more than 100 Pokémon on display, the event invites visitors to encounter both familiar and Legendary Pokémon as they walk through a district where historic streetscapes and cutting-edge urban functions coexist.
Over 100 Pokémon on Public Display
The core of the event is a free, city-wide exhibition. Nineteen Pokémon, including Legendary Pokémon, will appear as statues at facilities managed and operated by the Mitsui Fudosan Group, such as Nihonbashi Mitsui Tower, COREDO Muromachi Terrace, and Tokyo Midtown Yaesu. In addition, a total of over 100 Pokémon will be placed both inside and outside buildings throughout the area. Since the city-displayed Pokémon can be viewed by anyone free of charge, visitors can experience encounters with Pokémon simply by taking a stroll through the neighborhood. The event effectively turns the entire district into a walkable Pokémon habitat, making it a notable destination for families, fans, and visitors interested in seeing the area from a new perspective.
Paid Puzzle-Solving Experience
For those who want a more structured activity, the event offers “Pokémon Legend Research ~Awaken the Legendary Research Report!~,” a puzzle-solving experience in which participants search for Pokémon while walking through the city and solve mysteries based on clues hidden at each spot. Participants receive a dedicated kit and tour the area while researching the Legendary Pokémon that have appeared in the Nihonbashi and Yaesu region.
The production of the puzzle experience was handled by RIDDLER, a group of puzzle creators led by Ryogo Matsumaru, who is known as a devoted Pokémon fan. The puzzle-solving kit exchange ticket is priced at 3,300 yen (tax included). The operating hours for the puzzle-solving activity are 11:00–19:00 on weekdays and 10:00–20:00 on weekends and holidays. The reception point is located on the 1st floor of Nihonbashi Mitsui Tower.
Original Event Goods
Original merchandise featuring newly drawn key visuals created for the event will also be on sale. The lineup includes drawstring bags, folding fans, acrylic keychains, acrylic stands, mugs, and T-shirts. With this variety of goods, visitors can take home a tangible reminder of the event and relive the experience after the event period has ended.
An Autumn Stroll with Pokémon
The event offers a seasonal experience available only this autumn, combining a walk through Pokémon installations with the urban charms of Nihonbashi and Yaesu. The encounter with Pokémon becomes an opportunity to discover new aspects of the city itself, from its historical atmosphere to its modern commercial spaces.

What are Nihonbashi and Yaesu?
Nihonbashi and Yaesu are adjacent districts in central Tokyo. Nihonbashi is in Chūō Ward, Yaesu in Chiyoda Ward; the Nihonbashi River and the tracks approaching Tokyo Station roughly form their boundary.
Nihonbashi was a commercial center from the early Edo period. The first bridge, completed in 1603, was the starting point of the five highways, and the present bridge, rebuilt in 1911, still crosses the river under an expressway. The district retains its financial role: the Bank of Japan and the Tokyo Stock Exchange are located here, alongside old department stores and specialist shops.
Yaesu lies on the east side of Tokyo Station. The name is often traced to Jan Joosten, a Dutch trader with land in Edo in the early 1600s. The area was rebuilt after the Second World War and has since served as the station’s bus and taxi terminus, with underground passages connecting to the Shinkansen and major commuter lines. Older shopping arcades and new high-rise buildings stand within the same blocks.
Because the two districts are about a ten-minute walk apart, the area offers enough room and transport access for a Pokémon event that involves moving participants between indoor and outdoor locations.
