Kick off the New Year with an enchanting underwater escape at the Kasai Rinkai Aquarium! From January 2nd to 5th, 2025, discover festive fun for the whole family, including unique events you won’t find at any other aquarium celebration.

Test Your Luck & Knowledge:

  • Lucky Kasairin Fortune Slip: Snag one of the 6,000 limited-edition fortune slips (available daily) featuring your favorite aquarium creatures! Find out what the New Year holds in store for you at the Main Building’s 3rd Floor Glass Dome from January 2nd to 5th, between 9:30 am and 4:00 pm.
  • "Auspicious Creatures" Quiz Rally: Put your aquatic knowledge to the test with this exciting quiz! 2,000 copies are available each day on January 2nd and 3rd, starting at 9:30 am. Pick up your quiz sheet at the Main Building’s 2nd Floor (in front of the Lecture Room) and return it to the Gift Shop area for a special souvenir. Don’t miss out – it ends when supplies run out!

Meet the Penguins & Enjoy a Thrilling Performance:

  • Penguin Greetings: Wave hello to Oh-chan (King Penguin) and Fu-chan (Humboldt Penguin) as they waddle out for their New Year’s greetings! Catch them at the Main Building’s 3rd Floor Sky Plaza on January 2nd at 9:30 am – 10:00 am and 2:00 pm – 2:30 pm. (Cancelled if raining). Don’t forget your camera! 📸
  • Jūryu Edogawa Taiko Drum Performance: Experience the thunderous rhythms of Jūryu Edogawa Taiko on January 3rd from 10:30 am to 11:00 am at the Main Building’s 3rd Floor Sky Plaza (weather permitting). Kids can even try their hand at drumming!

Delve Deeper with a Special Tour:

  • New Year’s Special Guided Tour: Join a unique guided tour with a special New Year’s theme on January 4th and 5th. Tours start at 10:30 am (reception at 10:20 am) and 1:30 pm (reception at 1:20 am) at the Main Building’s 2nd Floor in front of the Lecture Room. Limited to 10 participants per tour (lottery system).
