Yeongdeungpo Yeouido Spring Flower Festival

Every year, when the warmth of spring is in the air, the streets of Yeouido are lined with thousands of blooming trees and flowers. Specifically, there are 1,886 cherry blossom trees and 87,859 spring flowers of 13 species, including azaleas, forsythias, and royal azaleas, all coming into full bloom. The Yeongdeungpo Yeouido Spring Flower Festival, which was first held in 2005, has the wide-open Han River as its backdrop, making it Korea’s representative spring festival, overflowing with abundant sights to see and experiences to partake in.
The Spring Flower Festival is alive with beautiful spring flowers and diverse cultural arts. Starting with the opening ceremony in early April, it features performances, exhibitions, and hands-on events held on Yeouiseo-ro and in Han River Park, filling the hearts of visitors with excitement.
The festival’s offerings are divided into six categories:
- Performance: The opening parade, taking place on April 4 at 5 PM, kicks off the festivities, which also include the Spring Flower Stage and Spring Flower Busking performances.
- Exhibition: The Art Cube Special Exhibition and Art Cube Local Artist Exhibition showcase a variety of artistic talent.
- Experience: There are permanent experiences available throughout the festival, as well as weekend pop-up experiences and sponsor experiences.
- Cafe Zone: This includes the Gourmet Garden with The Hyundai and the Cherry Blossom Road Cafe.
- Photo Zone: Capture memories at various sponsor photo zones and pop-up gardens located throughout the venue.
- Tourism Program: The Yeongdeungpo Spring Flower Sale Festa and a dedicated Festival Tour for the Visually Impaired ensure that the festival is inclusive and offers something for everyone.
