What is Korea Library Week?
Korea Library Week is an annual event focused on promoting libraries and encouraging reading and lifelong learning. Held every April, it underscores the role libraries play in Korean communities as centers of knowledge and culture. Throughout the week, libraries across the country offer free events and activities for all ages, such as author talks, storytelling sessions, workshops, and exhibitions. These programs highlight the wide range of resources and services available at libraries. The week also acknowledges the efforts of librarians and library staff in supporting education and access to information. Korea Library Week is a time for communities to reaffirm their commitment to literacy and to consider the changing role of libraries in the digital era.
