Special Exhibition: Birds – A New Avian Phylogeny Revealed by Genome Analysis
See a lifetime’s worth of birds⁉ Welcome to the sanctuary‼
Birds occupy an important position in the ecosystem, a fact that is often taken for granted. The special exhibition "Birds" was planned as the first bird-themed exhibition at Tokyo’s National Science Museum. Viewers of this exhibition are presented with a detailed introduction to the origin of birds and their evolutionary process. A large number of valuable bird specimens are displayed, based on the phylogenetic hypothesis elucidated by the latest research using genome analysis.
Furthermore, the exhibition will explain the "secrets of birds" in detail, with unique themes such as the language used by birds and the relationship between males and females.
In short, this is a "Bird Paradise" for anyone interested in learning more about our feathered friends.
