Calling all filmmakers! Submit your short films to the 15th Seoul Metro International Subway Film Festival!
Submission Period: June 18th, 2024 (Tue) – July 19th, 2024 (Fri)
Finalists Announced: August 6th, 2024 (Tue)
Who can submit?
We welcome films of any production year, as long as they meet the following criteria:
- Suitable for public screening in a subway environment.
- Comprehensible without sound (must be understandable even when played on mute).
- Maximum running time of 210 seconds (excluding end credits).
Competition Categories:
- International/Domestic Competition: Open theme, with no restrictions on setting, subject matter, or genre.
- ESG Special Competition: Films related to Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) issues. You can submit the same film to both the International/Domestic and ESG competitions.
Prizes:
- International Competition:
- Grand Prize: KRW 2,000,000
- Excellence Award: KRW 1,000,000
- Domestic Competition:
- Grand Prize: KRW 2,000,000 + Round-trip airfare and accommodation to attend the Barcelona Metro Film Festival (KRW 3,000,000 value)
- Excellence Award: KRW 1,000,000
- Audience Award: KRW 1,000,000
- ESG Special Competition:
- ESG Special Award (Shinhan Card President’s Award): KRW 2,000,000
Please note: The prizes are subject to change depending on the circumstances of the festival.

- Important: The screening file you submit must be the same as the final version you would like to be screened at the festival.
Filming in Seoul Metro Facilities:
- Download and complete the "Facility Filming Application Form."
- Submit the completed form via email.
- You will receive a filming permit within 3 days of submitting your application.
- Present the permit to the location manager before filming.
