Save Gyeongpo Forest: Volunteer to Remove Invasive Species in Gangneung

Answer the Call: Become a Green Monster Buster and Restore Gyeongpo’s Fire-Ravaged Forest

Join us in the fight to restore a wildfire-damaged forest in Gyeongpo, Gangneung, Korea!

In the wake of a devastating wildfire, new trees and plants were carefully planted to revitalize the land and prevent further damage like landslides. However, these young plants are now facing a new threat: invasive species.

The Challenge: Invasive Species Threaten Recovery

Fast-growing and aggressive, invasive plants like mile-a-minute weed (also known as mile-high vines) and prickly cucumbers are stealing sunlight and vital nutrients from the newly planted vegetation. Without intervention, these invasive species could choke out the young plants, jeopardizing the entire restoration effort.

This is where you come in!
