Yangpyeong Catfish Whisker Festival
Dates: May 11th, 2024 ~ September 8th, 2024
Yangpyeong is renowned for its pristine water in South Korea. Within Yangpyeong, Sumi Village is famous for its year-round festivals. To highlight the exceptional quality of Yangpyeong’s clean water and the charm of Sumi Village, a rural tourism hub, we’ve organized the "Yangpyeong Catfish Whisker Festival" for the summer season.
1. Main Programs:
- Catching catfish with bare hands and grilled catfish
- Water play in an inflatable bounce house
- Water gun and bubble gun fun
- Playing in the Heukcheon Stream
2. Additional Programs (Run by Sumi Village Residents):
(1) Steamed bread making
(2) Pizza making
(3) Four-wheeler (ATV) experience
(4) Tin can train ride (ATV)
(5) Succulent pot making
(6) Barbecue skewers
