Piyorin: Nagoya Cochin Chick Pudding
Piyorin is a delectable dessert that showcases Aichi’s local "Nagoya Cochin" eggs. The pudding, crafted from these premium eggs, is enveloped in a delicate vanilla-scented bavarian cream and coated with a fine layer of powdered sponge cake. Each Piyorin is meticulously shaped to resemble a fluffy chick, with unique expressions that add to their charm. The dessert’s slightly sweet flavor and smooth, melt-in-your-mouth texture have made it a beloved treat.
Piyorin: Nagoya’s First Character Tourism Envoy
Piyorin, a renowned Nagoya confectionery produced by JR Tokai Food Service Co., Ltd., achieved a significant milestone in October 2023 by being appointed as a "Nagoya Tourism Envoy" by the Nagoya Convention & Visitors Bureau. This designation marks Piyorin as the first character to hold this prestigious title. The "Nagoya Tourism Envoy" system aims to elevate Nagoya’s profile and attract tourists, and Piyorin plays a vital role in this endeavor by appearing on specially wrapped buses and serving as the main character for various promotional events.
