Step Back in Time at the Gunsan Time Travel Festival

Journey through the past, present, and future of Gunsan at the exciting Time Travel Festival! This year’s theme, "Modern Play," offers a diverse range of activities for the whole family, from engaging performances and interactive games to nostalgic experiences and delicious food.

Explore modern Gunsan and delve into the stories of resilience and resistance during the Japanese colonial period. This immersive festival features citizen-created parades, performances, historical mission games, and much more.

Festival Highlights:

1. Signature Programs:

Time Travel Parade: Witness a spectacular parade crafted by the citizens of Gunsan, showcasing the city’s vibrant past and exciting future.
Gunsan Port Night Wharf Concours: Experience a captivating performance blending modern artistry with historical elements (recognized with the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Award).
We All March 1st Movement 3.5: Participate in a powerful performance commemorating the Manse Movement, a pivotal moment in Korea’s fight for independence, which first unfolded south of the Han River in Gunsan.

2. Thematic Programs:

Gunsan Declaration of Independence Mission Game: Embark on an interactive mission, complete challenges, and step into the shoes of an independence fighter.
Gunsan Time Pawnshop: Test your knowledge in a fun quiz program and "reclaim your pawned time."
Into Modern Times: Immerse yourself in a captivating street performance featuring actors in period attire interacting with festival-goers.

3. Stage Performances:

Time Travel Youth Music Talk Show: Enjoy a lively music talk show featuring Kyungseo and the Yuk Joong Wan Band.
Street Stage: Discover a variety of engaging performances throughout the festival streets.

Let’s Play Road: Explore a dynamic play space offering a mix of traditional, modern, and futuristic games.
Nostalgic Roller Rink: Lace up your skates and relive the 70s and 80s at the retro roller rink.
Modern Fashion Show: Admire the creativity of local citizens in a modern fashion show competition.
Mission Payphone: Engage in an ongoing interactive experience with intriguing missions.
Modern Costume Room: Dress up in period costumes and fully immerse yourself in the festival atmosphere.

Street Playground, Collect Receipts, Flea Market, Snacks, Tumbler Coupon System, Street Light Guestbook: Enjoy a variety of fun side events and activities.
