Design the Metaverse: Build Your Virtual City in Chungnam
Calling all aspiring Metaverse creators in Chungcheongnam-do! The Chungnam Content Korea Lab is launching an exciting program, "Building a Metaverse City," where you’ll learn to design and build immersive virtual worlds.
This free program will equip you with the skills to master leading Metaverse platforms and translate your creative vision into a vibrant virtual representation of Chungcheongnam-do.
What Will You Learn?
Over 50 hours of intensive training, you will:
- Demystify the Metaverse: Gain a comprehensive understanding of the Metaverse and its potential.
- Master Popular Platforms: Learn to navigate and build on industry-leading platforms like ifland, ZEP, and CoSpaces.
- Unleash Your Creativity with ZEP: Dive into ZEP and its dedicated studio, using tools like Icograms and Illustrator to customize your own unique spaces.
- Explore VR/AR/MR Technologies: Gain hands-on experience with virtual, augmented, and mixed reality technologies.
- Craft Worlds with CoSpaces: Master the CoSpaces interface and tools to build your own interactive worlds.
- Build Your Metaverse City: Apply your knowledge to collaboratively design and build a virtual city representing the unique aspects of Chungcheongnam-do.
Meet Your Expert Instructor
Learn from the best! Your guide through the Metaverse will be Su-Mi Kim, Director of Creative Maru Coding Academy. Su-Mi brings extensive experience in coding, AI, and Metaverse technologies, having won the Grand Prize at the Artificial Intelligence BM Competition and served as an instructor for the 2022-2023 Chungnam Content Korea Lab’s AI Instructor Training Program.
Who Should Apply?
This program is open to 10 individuals who are residents of Chungcheongnam-do or current/graduated students from universities in the province and possess a passion for creativity and the Metaverse.
While not mandatory, submitting a portfolio to [email protected] will strengthen your application.

- Results Announcement: August 21st, 2024 (via text message)
- Program Dates: August 26th, 2024 (Mon) – October 2nd, 2024 (Wed)
- Time: 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM KST
- Location: Chungnam Content Korea Lab, Kiwoom Academy (9F, 15 Eunhaeng-gil, Dongnam-gu, Cheonan-si, Chungcheongnam-do)
- Getting There: Public transportation is recommended due to limited parking.
