We are thrilled to announce the launch of coderS, our brand-new volunteer program designed to support elementary school students in their software learning journey.
What is coderS?
coderS are passionate mentors who bridge the gap between technology and young learners. As a coderS volunteer, you’ll receive comprehensive training on CodeHana’s innovative software curriculum. You will then work alongside lead instructors to deliver engaging and interactive lessons to elementary school students, fostering their curiosity and love for technology.
Who Are We Looking For?
We seek enthusiastic and dedicated university students residing in the Seoul metropolitan area who are passionate about software and education. Ideal candidates are:
- Passionate about technology and education
- Available for in-person activities in the Seoul metropolitan area
- Responsible and committed to volunteer service
- Enthusiastic about working with children and nurturing their curiosity
Program Timeline
- Applications: August 6th (Tue) – August 15th (Thu), 6:00 PM KST
- Application Review & Interview Notifications: August 16th (Fri)
- Interviews: August 19th (Mon) – August 20th (Tue)
- Final Decisions: August 22nd (Thu) (Individual notifications will be sent)
Volunteer Activities
- Duration: September 2024 – February 2025
- Orientation & Training: August 23rd (Fri) (Offline, mandatory)
- Mid-term Report Meeting: November 2nd (Mandatory)
- Closing Ceremony: January 10th (Tentative, mandatory)
Weekly Commitments:
- Assist with one software class per week
- Complete teaching logs
- Share photos and videos on the [coderS Naver Cafe](insert cafe URL here)
- Upload attendance photos to Instagram Story
Monthly Commitments:
- Participate in team meetings
- Collaborate on lesson planning and preparation
- Create engaging content for Instagram and YouTube (team introductions, classroom highlights, behind-the-scenes footage)
Please note: Attendance at the orientation, mid-term meeting, and closing ceremony is mandatory. Additional training sessions may be scheduled after the closing ceremony based on school schedules.
