Calling all animation enthusiasts! The Bucheon International Animation Festival (BIAF2024), Asia’s top animation festival and an Academy Award-qualifying festival, is seeking enthusiastic volunteers to join our BIAFangles team!
Contribute to the magic of BIAF2024 and gain invaluable experience at a world-renowned festival. Here’s everything you need to know:
Important Dates
- Application Period: August 12th – September 19th, 2024
- Document Screening Results: September 24th, 15:00 (KST) (Announcement on the website and individual notification)
- Interviews: September 26th – September 30th (Face-to-face or online interviews via ZOOM)
- Final Results: October 4th, 15:00 (KST) (Announcement on the website and individual notification)
- Team Training & Pre-festival Activities: October 10th – October 24th, 2024
- Orientation & General Training: October 18th, 16:30
- Festival Period: October 25th – October 29th, 2024

Volunteer Teams & Roles
We are seeking passionate individuals to join the following teams:
- Operation Support Team: Situation Room, Goods, Information Desk, Theater, Ticket, Badge
- Planning & PR Team: Press/Interview, Social Media, Official Records (Photo/Video)
- Exhibition Team: Exhibition
- BAM/Academic Forum Team: BAM/Academic Forum
- Program Team: Event Support
- Technical Team: Projection/Subtitles/Situation Room

Eligibility Criteria
- A passion for animation and film festivals.
- A strong sense of responsibility and teamwork.
- Open to high school students, young adults, and adults. (Parental consent required for minors).
- Korean language proficiency is required for international applicants.
- Ability to work in Bucheon, covering personal transportation and accommodation expenses.
- Availability to participate in pre-festival training, volunteer orientation, and official events.
