Gyeonggi Province is Recruiting Young Leaders to Combat Climate Change!
Are you a passionate young person living in Gyeonggi Province and eager to make a difference in the fight against climate change?
Join the Gyeonggi Youth Envoy for Global Climate Action and become a part of a meaningful journey towards a sustainable future!
What you’ll do:
- Participate in tree planting and environmental clean-up activities.
- Engage in environmental education programs and campaigns.
- Experience cultural exchange with local communities.
Who can apply:
- Young individuals aged 19-39 residing in Gyeonggi Province (as of June 17, 2024).
- Those with a strong understanding of climate change and environmental issues.
- Individuals passionate about volunteering and making a positive impact.
- Applicants available to participate in all online/offline activities, including training sessions, domestic workshops, overseas volunteering, and opening/closing ceremonies.
- Those eligible for international travel (refer to Attachment 2 on the Jobaba application).
Application period:
- June 17, 2024 (Mon) 9:00 AM ~ July 5, 2024 (Fri) 11:00 PM
Recruitment details:
- Total of 120 participants will be selected.
- No participation fee required.
Preferential selection:
- Applicants from socially disadvantaged backgrounds.
- Individuals with significant volunteer experience (at least 50 hours of domestic volunteer work within the past three years, verifiable through VMS or 1365).
Activity locations:
- Kyrgyzstan (Bishkek)
- Mongolia (Bayanhongor & Ulaanbaatar)
- Mongolia (Ulaanbaatar)
- Uzbekistan (Tashkent)
Activity period:
- July ~ October 2024
- Mandatory participation in online/offline training, orientation, opening ceremony, and closing ceremony.
- 3-week overseas dispatch in August.

- Round-trip airfare and visa application fees covered.

- Accommodation and meals during the overseas program covered.
Offline meetings:
- 5 times throughout the program.
