This personalized workshop guides participants through the essentials of webtoon directing, background creation, and industry-standard tools. Under Ttogak’s expert guidance, you will gain practical skills and create your own short webtoon (up to 5 panels).

Ttogak is a professional webtoon artist known for their captivating storytelling and stunning artwork. Their published works include:

  • "Another Love" (Completed): Serialized on Naver Webtoon from 2021-2023.
  • "Black Mermaid" (Ongoing): Currently serialized on Naver Webtoon, launched in 2024.

What You Will Learn

The workshop curriculum covers a wide range of essential topics:

  • Introduction to Essential Webtoon Creation Tools: Discover the software and tools used by professional webtoon artists.
  • Recommended Drawing Resources for Speed Painting: Learn efficient techniques for creating high-quality artwork.
  • Understanding Webtoon Directing: Master the art of visual storytelling and paneling using Clip Studio Paint.
  • Understanding Backgrounds: Develop skills in creating immersive and detailed backgrounds with SketchUp.
  • Practical Webtoon Creation and Feedback Sessions: Apply your knowledge, receive personalized feedback, and refine your creative process.

Application Details

Eligibility:

  • 15 individuals residing in Chungcheongnam-do or currently enrolled/graduated from universities in the province.
  • Individuals with a strong interest in webtoon creation.

Selection Process:

  • Applications will be reviewed, and the most promising candidates will be selected.
  • While not mandatory, submitting a portfolio to [email protected] is highly encouraged.

Timeline:

  • Application Period: August 5th (Mon), 2024 to August 29th (Thu), 2024, 6:00 PM KST.
  • Announcement of Results: August 30th, 2024 (All applicants will be notified via text message).

Workshop Schedule

  • Dates: Every Friday, from September 6th to September 27th, 2024.
  • Time: 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM KST.
  • Total Duration: 12 hours.
  • Location: Chungnam Content Korea Lab, Bibim Academy (15 Eunhaeng-ro, Dongnam-gu, Cheonan-si, Chungcheongnam-do, 7th floor). Please note that parking is limited; using public transportation is recommended.
